Terms & Refund Policy

In short: a rolling monthly subscription, cancel any time, no contract. Your website and hosting are provided as part of the subscription; cancel and the site is taken offline. Your domain is always your own. Monthly payments are non-refundable.

1. The service

Datum Media designs, builds, hosts and maintains a website for your business as an ongoing managed service ("the Service"), provided on a monthly subscription. The Service includes the website design and build, hosting, and edits/updates as described on our website at the time you subscribe.

2. Subscription & billing

The Service is billed monthly in advance at the price shown at sign-up (currently £399/month). Your subscription renews automatically each month until cancelled. Payments are processed securely by Stripe.

3. Cancellation

There is no minimum term or contract — you can cancel at any time, and you will not be billed again after cancellation. On cancellation, your website is taken offline at the end of your current billing period. To cancel, contact us at the email below.

4. Refunds

Because the Service (hosting, edits and support) is delivered continuously throughout each month, monthly payments are non-refundable, including for part-months or unused time. If something isn't right with your website, contact us and we will put it right as part of your subscription.

5. Ownership

The website and its hosting are provided to you as part of your subscription and remain the property of Datum Media. This is what allows us to offer the Service at a low monthly price with no large upfront cost. Your domain name is always your own — we simply connect it, or help you register one in your own name. If you don't have a domain, we may host your site on a temporary web address until you obtain one.

6. Edits & updates

Edits and updates to your website are included in your subscription. We aim to action reasonable edit requests promptly. Requests are handled by us; the Service does not include direct editing access to the site's code.

7. Your responsibilities

You are responsible for providing accurate business information and any content (text, images, logos) you ask us to publish, and for ensuring you have the right to use it. You agree not to use the Service for any unlawful, misleading or infringing purpose.

8. Availability

We take reasonable steps to keep your website online but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, as hosting depends on third-party providers. We are not liable for losses arising from downtime outside our reasonable control.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version published here is the current one, and the "last updated" date reflects the latest change.
